I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here kicks off tonight and you might struggle to believe how much some of them are being paid for spending a few weeks in the Aussie jungle.

It's true they have to do hard tasks like eating bugs... but does that really warrant being paid £250,000? Because that's what a source close to the show told the Daily Star.

Not all contestants earn the same money, of course, as it depends on how famous you are when you go in the jungle.

"There's a very wide range of payments on the show, and every year some of the top names bag themselves around £250,000," a source told the Daily Star.

"This year Amir and Stanley are probably the biggest names, along with Jennie off Coronation Street.

"But the pay scale slides all the way down to about a tenth of that."

So some contestants might be getting £25,000. Still, pretty decent. And you only have to survive 72 hours in the jungle to get all your payout, according to the paper. And even if they can't manage that, they'll still get something for their troubles - not a bad gig this, is it?

So who are the new contestants that Ant and Dec will be putting through their paces?

Amir Khan, is probably the most famous celebrity. But one of the most surprising has to be Stanley Johnson - aka Boris Johnson's dad.

Chelsea fans will recognise former player Dennis Wise, now fifty years old, who will add some cheeky banter to the mix.

Meanwhile, Leicester City fans might recognise WAG Rebekah Vardy, the wife of Jamie.

Jack Maynard is also heading to the jungle - the YouTube star is the younger brother of Connor Maynard. Apparently he's up for being the jungle's eye candy. Good luck with that.

Jamie Lomas, who is fresh from leaving Hollyoaks and set for a new challenge, will be taking part. And, he's not the only soap star in the jungle, Jennie McAlpine from Coronation Street has taken some time off from the show to go down under. And who can blame her? Freezing her arse off on the cobbles or chilling in the Australian sun - easy choice.

Georgia Toffolo from Made in Chelsea, prefers to be called Toff. What a nickname; I wonder how Stanley is going to feel about not being the only Toff?

After breaking up with her boyfriend, Vanessa White from The Saturdays is also heading to the jungle; as will comedian Shappi Khorsandi who has played high profile gigs like Live at the Apollo.

And last but not least, Kezia Dugdale has agreed to join the gang in the jungle. The former leader of the Scottish Labour party has been accused of 'demeaning' the party by heading into the jungle and could be suspended. I wonder how she'll get on with Boris Johnson's dad?
