The daytime TV fanatics of Twitter are an easily riled bunch and today they've been up in arms once again - this time about the absence of their spiritual Gods, Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, from today's edition of This Morning.
Fans were surprised to switch on their televisions this morning, only to find that their two favourite hosts had been replaced by Eamon Holmes and Ruth Langsford. And, needless to say, they were not best pleased.
To make matters even worse, there was no explanation of where Holly and Phil had disappeared to. It was almost as if they had never existed at all.
Instead, Eamon opened by saying, "Monday's This Morning, here we go," neglecting to mention that the usual duo were taking the half-term holiday off.

"No one likes Eamonn Holmes, except himself," commented one fed-up viewer.
"A shite #JeremyKyle repeat and a depressing #ThisMorning with Eammon and Ruth. Only some thermonuclear grade man-hating from #LooseWomen can save this day," wrote another.
Other Twitter users couldn't fathom why people would need to take a holiday from their jobs and were adamant that Phil, at least, should have stayed to hold down the fort.
"Yeah can understand Holly being off with young children," said one commenter, "but why he's off i don't know. Maybe it's because he only enjoys doing #ThisMorning with Holly!"
However, fans needn't worry too much, as their favourite dynamic daytime duo will be returning on 19 February to resume their usual place.

For now, though, they'll just have to make do with Eamon and Ruth, whether they like it or not. Well, it's either that or go outside and do stuff.
