Glenn Close Shows Off Impressive Homemade Cruella de Vil Costume For Halloween Fundraiser

Halloween is still the best part of a month away and already we have a strong contender for the coveted costume of the season prize.

Glenn Close has taken to Instagram to show off her homemade Cruella de Vil costume and, well, it's pretty close to the original look she sported back in 1996.

Explaining how she put the outfit together, the seven-time Oscar nominee said she made the cigarette holder by painting a chopstick red, while her scarf is a pair of long johns and her makeup is largely baby powder.

Fair play, that's a bloody good effort.

The 73-year-old has reprised her role as the 101 Dalmatians villain for a virtual Halloween fundraiser.

The event, entitled 'In Search of the Sanderson Sisters: A Hocus Pocus Hulaween Takeover', will see the cast of 1993 comedy Hocus Pocus reunite in aid of the New York Restoration Project, which was founded by Bette Midler, who played Winifred Sanderson.

A description of the event reads: "Your ticket to the hottest pandemic-safe Halloween event of the year, featuring Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy and spectacularly spooky guests- all to raise funds for New York Restoration Project's critical environmental and social justice work.

"Reserve your spot today for our one-hour virtual evening event on Friday, 30 October! Your personalized access link will be emailed to you in advance of the event, and we will keep you informed of all the Hocus Pocus fun we have in store leading up to the big night."

The event will begin at 1am in the UK (8pm EST) and you can buy your ticket for £7.75 ($10) here.
