TV chef Jamie Oliver is on the lookout for people who want to stop relying on takeaways and learn how to cook.

The 44-year-old has opened an application process in a bid to get 'non-cooks' to take part in the 'exciting' new TV programme.

Jamie is calling all takeaway lovers.

Taking to Facebook, the dad-of-five wrote: "Guys I'm working on a new TV show and I'm looking for people who eat a lot of takeaways and want to stop relying on them and learn how to cook for themselves!!

"If you know someone who loves food but doesn't love cooking, click the link for an application form and let me know all about them!!"

If you happen to be interested, you can go and apply here by downloading and filling out a form which asks you to attach two photographs: one of yourself and one of your kitchen.

The form then asks you to write answers to questions such as: What is your favourite food? How would you rate your cooking? What would you most like Jamie's help with?

Once complete, the application form needs to be sent to [email protected] and all applicants must be 18 years or over and legally resident in the UK.

It seems applications might be flooding in thick and fast. One person commented on Jamie's Facebook post: "I'm a single parent to a 16-year-old and a 10-year-old. They will never eat the same thing and sometimes I struggle to find the time to be healthy. Helppp."

Another added: "Hi Jamie Oliver, can I just say that I eat a lot of takeaways. I like to cook but I don't have the ideas or inspiration to cook up meals pls can you help me thanks."

A third said: "Can I nominate my husband, he wants to know how to cook and also enjoy a variety of food, but still at the age of 45 he struggles with new things and what to do with them."

Naturally, whenever Jamie Oliver tries to make any changes for good cause, people always go back to the same old turkey twizzler heartbreak.

One commented: "He ruined my childhood by banning turkey twizzlers. He wants to keep his beak out, if people like takeaways and can afford them so be it!"

Just let it drop now...
