While many of us are finding coronavirus-related news hard to escape, there's at least one person on this planet who's somehow managed to remain blissfully ignorant.

It turns out poor ol' Jared Leto has had absolutely 'no idea' about what's been going on, having been stuck in a silent meditation retreat in the desert for 12 days. As you do.

The actor and musician emerged yesterday after being 'totally isolated', saying he had no communication with the outside world while in the facility.

He emerged yesterday to unsurprisingly 'mind blowing' scenes, saying he walked out 'into a very different world'.

Sharing his revelation on Twitter, Leto wrote: "Wow. 12 days ago I began a silent meditation in the desert.

"We were totally isolated. No phone, no communication etc. We had no idea what was happening outside the facility.

"Walked out yesterday into a very different world. One that's been changed forever. Mind blowing - to say the least.

"I'm getting messages from friends and family all around the globe and catching up on what's going on.

"Hope you and yours are ok. Sending positive energy to all. Stay inside. Stay safe."

While Leto's been completely oblivious to everything, some other celebrities haven't had the luxury of not knowing.

Actor Idris Elba revealed yesterday that he has tested positive for coronavirus, despite having not shown any symptoms.

The star shared a video update on Twitter, writing: "This morning I tested positive for Covid-19. I feel ok, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus.

"Stay home people and be pragmatic. I will keep you updated on how I'm doing.

"No panic."

Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson also tested positive for the virus, saying in an update on Facebook that they are 'taking it one-day-at-a-time'.

It's okay to not panic.
