Jeff Bezos has responded after footage of his girlfriend Lauren Sánchez meeting Leonardo DiCaprio went viral. You can watch the moment below:

The trio bumped into each other at the 10th Annual Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) Art and Film Gala Presented By Gucci.

In the clip, Sánchez appears to be fangirling over DiCaprio while Bezos looks on with very little interest.

People on social media were cracking up, with one writing: "When u got literal billions but ur not Leonardo DiCaprio."

Another said: "Find somebody who looks at you the way Jeff Bezos' gf looks at Leonardo DiCaprio."

Well, Bezos has now taken to Twitter to respond.

Sharing a picture which if nothing else showcases his surprisingly muscular arms, Bezos poses behind a sign reading: "Danger! Steep cliff. Fatal drop."

He joked in the tweet: "Leo, come over here, I want to show you something..."

Leo better watch his back...

In Sánchez's defence, I think most of us would have had a similar reaction if we ran into the Titanic star.

Tweeting to that effect, one user wrote: "I mean I don't blame her...it's Leo."

Another said: "I understand her," while someone else added: "I get her. That's literally Leonardo DiCaprio."

Taking to Instagram after the event, Lauren tagged Leo, writing: "Beautiful evening last night at the @LACMA Art + Film Gala hosted by the amazing @1evachow and @leonardodicaprio."

She went on to add: "An amazing event that will benefit important museum initiatives, exhibitions, and programming for years to come."

But the caption was accompanied by a picture of her with her multi-billionaire partner so we're sure they're doing just fine.

Earlier this month, Tom Hanks revealed that Bezos had asked him if he fancies going to space - but he turned the former Amazon CEO down because of the hefty price tag.

When asked on Jimmy Kimmel Live! if it was true he'd been approached to take part in one of Bezos' Blue Origin spaceflights, Hanks told the talk show host: "Well yeah, provided I pay.

"It costs like $28 million or something like that. And I'm doing good Jimmy - I'm doing good - but I ain't paying $28 million."

Does seem a little steep, doesn't it.
