Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux have announced that they have separated, revealing the news in a joint statement.
The couple, who got married in 2015, said that they had wanted to keep the news of the separation private, but had to speak out because the industry 'cannot resist an opportunity to speculate'.
The two married in a secret ceremony in their Bel Air mansion back in August 2015, after reportedly meeting on the set of comedy film Wanderlust.
Theroux (that's right, a cousin of everyone's favourite documentary filmmaker, Louis) was Aniston's second husband, having been married to Brad Pitt. Their relationship was decidedly higher profile - as was the divorce, with speculation that Pitt had been unfaithful to Aniston with Mr & Mrs Smith co-star Angelina Jolie.
Pitt was married to Jolie for just over two years, but they separated in 2016. Naturally, it didn't take long for the internet to start making comments about the two newly-single former lovebirds...

"In an effort to reduce any further speculation, we have decided to announce our separation," Aniston and Theroux said in their statement.
"We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship.
"Normally we would do this privately, but given that the gossip industry cannot resist an opportunity to speculate and invent, we wanted to convey the truth directly."
"Above all, we are determined to maintain the deep respect and love that we have for one another," the statement added.
Aniston has previously spoken out about gossip culture, and the shame that's been place on her over the years.
In 2016 she told Marie Claire: "My marital status has been shamed, my divorce status was shamed, my lack of a mate had been shamed, my nipples have been shamed.
"It's like, why are we only looking at women through this particular lens of picking us apart? Why are we listening to it?
"I just thought: 'I have worked too hard in this life and this career to be whittled down to a sad, childless human.'"
