Comedian Katherine Ryan has revealed that her boyfriend 'wrestled' a masked robber who tried to break into her home and steal her laptop, which had scripts for her new Netflix series on it.
The 36-year-old took to Instagram to tell fans of the traumatic events from Saturday evening, explaining that her Apple laptop was nearly a thing of the past.

But thanks to her boyfriend Bobby Kootstra, Katherine still has the laptop (phew) - even if he did have to fight for it.
Pointing out blood on the device, Katherine said: "This is why I love Bobby K, because he got in a fight and wrestled back my Netflix series, all my scripts... and that is blood."
She also shared a picture of police officers outside her home with the caption: "Cool to be robbed tonight by a masked man in our home."

A little later at 5.10am, Katherine posted a video of a dark room, writing: "That's fine, I never liked sleeping anyway." The following morning, she thanked fans saying: "Thank you this morning for all your messages of support."
The robber did manage to steal items of jewellery, however, which she is now asking people to look out for.
According to The Mirror, in a now-deleted Instagram story, Katherine reportedly revealed the police put her on hold when she called them even though the attacker was still in her home.

One of her followers tweeted: "Slightly worrying to hear not only that @Kathbum was robbed in her own home, but that the police put her on hold for several minutes while the masked attacker was still on their property..."
Katherine replied: "They need more money AND NOW."
Katherine took a swipe at her dogs, branding them the 'worst' and telling one: "You... asleep at the wheel." Sharing a snap of another she joked: "Literally getting a German Shepherd thanks to you."

Ryan and Kootstra were childhood sweethearts way back when but they didn't speak for 20 years until rekindling their relationship back in April.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Ryan said: "I was a handful when I was a teenager. When he split with me, I don't blame him. He was like, Katherine, we have to travel, we have to go to university. He was very logical.
"When you're 16 and in love, you think that's it. I was like, 'what do you mean we're not getting married?' We didn't speak for 20 years because of how heartbroken I was. I went out with my sister and bumped into him into a pub and if you've seen my Instagram, you know he's beautiful."
Looks like he's redeemed himself anyway.
