Kevin Hart has revealed he and wife Eniko are expecting a baby girl.

The comedian posted a message on Instagram for Mother's Day, where he showered his pregnant wife with praise and let slip that his fourth child would be a girl.

He wrote on social media: "Happy Mother's Day to this beautiful woman & wife of mine....We love you @enikohart.

"And we are thrilled about the arrival of our baby girl....Family of 6 WOOOOOOOOW!!!! God is unbelievable....We are blessed to have you in our lives. All I can say is thank you honey."

The post has been liked by more than 1.6 million people, with hundreds more sending messages of congratulations to the happy couple.

The couple made the big announcement that they were expecting back in March and it capped off a busy and hectic few months.

Kevin is naturally over the moon at the news, especially considering he was involved in a horrific and near fatal car accident last year.

Hart suffered 'major back injuries' in the incident, which took place in West Valley at around 12.45am on 1 September.

He had been riding as a passenger in one of his cars - a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda - when it crashed from Cold Canyon Road onto Mulholland Highway.

The actor was rushed to hospital and had to undergo weeks of rehabilitation to be able to walk again.

His journey back to health was laid bare in a video posted to social media, where he thanked everyone for their well wishes.

In the clip, the 40-year-old can be seen wearing a harness and undergoing physical therapy. His family also appear in the post, including his his wife Eniko Parrish and their kids.

Speaking about how the tragic incident has affected him, Hart says: "After my accident I see things differently, I see life from a whole new perspective.

The comedian thanked his fans for all their support since the tragic incident.

Commenting on the post, Eniko thanked fans for their kind words and support, writing: "Your true fans were concerned, praying & missing you deeply. Thank you ALL for your kind words and allowing us to heal during this time."

Hart's BFF and co-star Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson also left a message of support for his pal, commenting: "Beautifully said. Love u brotha. Onward."
