Kristen Bell revealed her husband, Dax Shepard, once sucked out a painful clogged milk duct when she'd been breastfeeding one of their daughters. If that's not love then I don't know what is.

Bell and Shepard, who got hitched in 2013, share two daughters - Lincoln, eight, and six-year-old Delta.

Speaking on Momsplaining back in 2018, Bell said she had developed mastitis - a painful inflammation of the breast tissue - after one of her milk ducts became clogged, but her husband was more than happy to try and help.

She said: "I said to my husband, 'I just need you to suck this out'.

"We could talk about it. We could be weird about it, or you could just go ahead and nurse."

She added: "He pulled it out. He had a cup next to him.

"He was pulling out and spitting into this cup, and I've never been more in love in my life."

Commenting on the throwback clip in the most recent episode of Momsplaining to actor Katie Lowes, Bell said: "It works."

Fortunately for Lowes, she's never been in the position where she's needed husband Adam Shapiro to do the same, but said he had told her 'numerous times' that he 'would do it' if necessary. What a guy.

Earlier this year, Bell and Shepard admitted that they only bother washing their daughters when they start to stink.

The actors were discussing parenting on The View and opened up about how they used to bathe their children much more regularly but decided it wasn't necessary.

Shepard said: "We bathed our children every single night - prior to bed is like the routine.

"And then somehow, they just started going to sleep on their own without the routine, and by George, we had to start saying, 'Hey, when's the last time you bathed them?'"

Bell added: "Once you catch a whiff, that's biology's way of letting you know you need to clean it up.

"There's a red flag because, honestly, it's just bacteria. And once you get the bacteria, you gotta be like, 'Get in the tub or the shower'. So I don't hate what they're doing. I wait for the stink."
