True crime podcasts have been all the rage pretty much since podcasting began.

There are hundreds of producers who dive into different parts of true crime, whether it be way, way back in time or the biggest crimes known to humankind.

Well, a new player is entering the game and it's someone you probably won't expect.

Kim Kardashian-West, reality TV star, businesswoman and future lawyer, has decided to wade into the industry and her first series sounds like it will be riveting.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Mrs Kardashian-West will be delving into a triple murder that happened in 1994 in Ohio.

Kevin Keith was the man convicted of killing Marichell Chatman, Marchae Chatman, and Linda Chatman nearly three decades ago.

He was sentenced to death and came within 13 days of execution before Ohio State Governor Ted Strickland commuted his sentence to life imprisonment without parole, citing 'real and unanswered questions surrounding the murders for which Mr. Keith was convicted'.

Two of Marichell's young cousins were also shot during the horrible crime, but survived. One of them told police that the gunman was one of their father's friends and not Keith.

Justice For Kevin Keith

According to Amnesty International, who campaigned against Keith's death sentence, the prosecution's case relied on the nurse who treated another victim of the attack, Richard Warren, who survived being shot.

Police say the nurse was told that a man named 'Kevin' was the shooter. However, Mr Warren had also told several other people that he has no idea who the gunman was.

The podcast about the crime and evidence that was used to convict Kevin Keith will premiere on Spotify in September.

Kimmy KW will be co-host and co-producer for the series along with TV producer Lori Rothschild Ansaldi.
