If you've seen Sacha Baron Cohen's latest film Grimsby, it'll come as no surprise that the main character is styled on former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher.
It turns out there's a pretty hilarious story behind Cohen's decision to base the character, Nobby, on the loud-mouthed rock star.
First, check out the similarities between the two when Nobby endorsed Donal Trump recently.
Speaking on US late-night show Conan, the comedian told the story of the time he ended up on a couch with Gallagher and Bono at a GQ Awards after-party.

Gallagher asked Cohen who he thought was the greatest living rock star. Obviously, being sat next to two (debatable) living legends, Cohen just replied, "I honestly don't know."
The intoxicated Mancunian then shouted, "It's John Lennon!"
Yeah, I thought he was dead too. But Gallagher then stood up and claimed he was in fact John Lennon, before drunkenly falling over and banging his head on a table.
It's really obvious why Noel left Oasis, isn't it?

Anyway, Gallagher had taken a disliking to Cohen (and everyone else in the world) and threatened, very specifically, to stab the Ali G star in the eye.
Although it would be a very Liam Gallagher thing to do, NME approached the singer's press representatives to find out whether the story was true.
They were told: "Liam wants to clarify that it wasn't just the one eye, it was both."

Pretty impressive reply to be fair.
Oh, and if you're holding out for a Liam Gallagher solo album, he also has a message for you.
Love him or loathe him, he's pure entertainment.
