Logan Paul has said he and his brother Jake are taking Floyd Mayweather Jr's death threats 'seriously' following Jake and Floyd's scuffle after a press conference on 6 May, and they now have security 'everywhere at all times'.

Jake riled Floyd up last week when he stole the boxer's baseball cap during a pre-fight news conference in Miami, running off into the crowds after exclaiming: "Gotchya hat!"

As a scuffle broke out, video footage from the incident showed Floyd chasing after Jake, yelling: "I'll kill you motherf***er."

Now Logan Paul says he and his younger brother have had no choice but to 'take that s*** seriously', telling TMZ they have bodyguards and security supporting them at all times.

In a video interview, TMZ told Logan they had never seen Mayweather lose his cool - until the incident with the baseball cap.

"He loved that hat," Logan said, laughing.

"He loved it, his favourite hat."

When asked if he and Jake were taking 'precautions', Logan replied: "Yeah, yeah."

The interviewer asked if they had security, to which Logan responded: "Everywhere, at all times."

He also confirmed there was 'more than usual', continuing: "Dawg, when you have a guy with the resources and the wealth that Floyd Mayweather has, and the connection and the network, and he's saying s*** like, 'I'mma kill that motherf***er'.

"Kill?! Death?! You're gonna kill my brother over a f***ing hat? Yeah, we take that s*** seriously, man."

Logan and Floyd are due to step into the boxing ring next month, but the limelight fell on Jake when he grabbed Floyd's hat at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

Jake ended up commemorating the incident with a tattoo, which simply said: "Gotcha hat."

MMA legend Connor McGregor has also had his say on the incident, branding it 'embarrassing'.

Writing on Instagram, McGregor said: "The kid curled up, didn't fight back once, and Floyd is still running around acting the tough guy.

"The kid actually just pulled this shambles of a situation Floyd is in out of the drain for him. He should thank him.

"It's embarrassing! Pro to pro it's embarrassing.

"He will not scratch 10m for this fight and he knows it. It was cancelled once already. The world is watching this on Twitter. He'd fight a half decent pro and command 20m upwards, yet its this s***.

"Whatever way you spin this, it's sad. Fight someone for real, on your record, or f*** off mate. Slap head!"
