One of Machine Gun Kelly's favourite tattoos depicts the time he was hit by a double decker bus in Manchester in the UK.
The 31-year-old American rapper is famously covered in tattoos, regularly updating his collection of ink, including a recent controversial addition made to look like he has a cut down the centre of his neck.
When he was hit by the two-floor vehicle, he got a design especially to mark the occasion.
Posting on his Instagram when it happened in 2013, he announced the news with an image of the bus window, which was completely shattered and had obviously fared worse than MKG.
Writing on Instagram at the time, he said: "I got hit by a ducking double-decker bus this morning within the first hour of me being in the UK.
"My head did this to the front of the windshield.
"They x-rayed and released me from the hospital with no brain contusions/internal bleeding, just a bloody hip. I forgot they drive on opposite sides of the street here.
"What a f**kin' idiot. I'm getting a shot of whiskey and taking my dumbass to bed. Sorry if I had anyone worried."
The tattoo shows a red double-decker bus, with a stick figure appearing to fly through the air. It also has the numbers 'five, eleven, 13' inked inside it - a tribute to the day he escaped death - May, 11, 2013.
He spoke to GQ about the tattoo in a 2016 interview, explaining what had happened.
In the video, he says: "There's me, yeah, at like seven in the morning.
"We were looking for weed so I saw some guy and I was like that guy looks like he would have it for sure.
"Took one step into the street (claps). The bus was going full speed, the whole front of the windshield was cracked like a spider web.
"I woke up on the ground.
"My clothes were ripped. I tried to run away, I was so messed up that I thought I did like a crime or something."
When asked if he ended up getting the weed, he replied: "No."
In a later interview, he explained how medics were shocked that he was relatively unscathed, with the whole window of the bus completely shattered.
"My face was the first thing to get hit," he recalled. "All I remember is waking up and everyone screaming. I get up, my jeans are ripped. Everything is ripped."
When he got to hospital, medics performed three MRI scans, a CAT scan and other tests.
He then added: "They were like, 'There's no way you got hit like that and there's no internal bleeding or anything'.
"But I was fine."
