A TikToker has shared the story of the time Madonna Photoshopped herself onto one of her photos, saying she's even used the anecdote in a job interview.

TikTok user Amelia Goldie (@ameliamgoldie) posted a video on the platform to tell users about the time her body appeared on Madonna's Instagram feed, with the singer's head Photoshopped onto it - a snap of Amelia sitting on a bed in a Joy Division t-shirt and black and white printed skirt had been used.

Amelia, who also has 45,000 followers over on Instagram, wrote: "When Madonna posts a photo of herself to IG to promote her album but it's actually your body (I'm not joking)."

Madonna had posted the bizarre photo in May 2015, captioning the post: "I look kewl......... #rebelheart."

In the picture, you can clearly see her face has been edited onto Amelia's body, her skin tone suddenly changing colour around the neck - her head also looking disproportionately large.

Speaking to BuzzFeed, Amelia said she 'thought it was a joke' when she first saw Madonna's photo, adding: "Then [I] realised it wasn't because it was [posted on] her official account."

Amelia, 28, said tried reaching out to Madonna's people, but heard nothing back.

She said: "I tried to reach out via Instagram to her team twice, to no response."

Amelia - who is based in New South Wales, Australia - said if she ever was to hear back from the music icon, she would 'definitely laugh' and say she feels 'flattered', but would also say she wishes she'd have been credited.

She continued: "I think if you're going to play somebody else's body off as your own, they deserve to be mentioned. But no hard feelings!"

After going viral with her story on TikTok, Amelia said she's received 'thousands of comments' on her social media pages - although that's not the only place that the tale has gone down well.

"I've been told it's a great 'party flex', which makes me laugh," she said.

"I told it at a job interview and they loved it."

Many people have since flocked to Madonna's 2015 post to comment on it, saying she should 'pay a fee' for using Amelia's photo.

"Man I feel bad for Amelia Goldie. She should be making all the money that Madonna is getting from this post," one person wrote.

Another person said: "Don't you think it's time to give the original owner of this photo / body some credit?? Did you think you wouldn't be found out?"
