Meghan Trainor and her husband Daryl Sabara have 'toilets next to each other', the singer has revealed while speaking about her home in a new podcast episode.

Trainor, 27, married Spy Kids star Sabara, 29, in 2018 after they got engaged the previous year, and welcomed their first child - a baby boy called Riley - in February 2021.

They also recently moved into a new house, with Trainor saying they were very much involved in the design and construction.

This includes in the couple's bathroom, where they requested two toilets alongside each other.

Speaking about the build on the Why Won't You Date Me? podcast, Trainor explained: "We just got a new house, and we did construction.

"Nobody knows this, but in our bathroom, there was one toilet, and a lot of time in the middle of the night when we're with the baby, we've got to pee at the same time.

"So I was like, 'Can we please have two toilets next to each other?'"

She said their contractor initially thought the request was a joke, but eventually installed the twin latrines for the new parents.

"We got two toilets sitting next to each other, and we've only pooped together twice," she Trainor admitted.

"We pee at the same time a lot."

As a new parent, Trainor has spoken out about struggling with her body image following the birth of her son.

Speaking to People, the star said: "I'm covered in scars and stretch marks in new places I didn't know stretch marks could be. There's things that aren't going to go away ever, and I have to learn to love that."

Recalling how she felt after the birth, she continued: "I started to feel unsexy immediately.

"Even with my husband, the love of my life, who worships the ground I step on, who loves my body - I was like: 'I'm not feeling it, man'.

"It took me a couple of weeks and therapy sessions to be like, how do I get back in the mindset of: 'My husband loves me, and I'm hot, and everything's okay?'"

Trainor added that she and Sabara are keen determined to keep the romance alive in their relationship.

"The spark didn't leave, but the spark has struggled," she said, explaining how it helped to make intimacy a 'surprise'.

"It's not scheduled - and that really brought back our spark."
