MMA fans chanted 'f*** Jake Paul' after the YouTuber-turned-boxer appeared at last night's UFC 261.

Paul, who recently celebrated his third boxing win, was not given a warm welcome by the gathered UFC fans who started up the chant that could be heard on ESPN's coverage.

Paul seems to have taken the whole thing in his stride, though, tweeting a photo of himself from last night alongside the caption: "F*** Jake Paul."

Paul also had a run-in with former double champion Daniel Cormier, who he recently called out on Twitter.

And it looked as though things were about to get pretty heated with Cormier saying he wanted to 'slap' Paul.

Commentator Joe Rogan said: "I found out what the chant was, it was 'F Jake Paul' - that's what they were all yelling out."

To which Cormier replied: "I swear to God I just saw Jake Paul, I pointed at him and I said 'don't play with me,' because I'll smack him in the face.

Jake Paul didn't seem too bothered about the fans' reaction.

"He's right there. I don't play those games, Joe."

Paul called Cormier 'fat boy' and challenged him to a fight - something which Cormier has ruled out, saying he'd 'kill him'.

Fair enough.

Speaking to ESPN, Cormier said: "This dude would never fight me. I would kill him. Why would I ever fight someone like that?

"But my immediate reaction was, 'I can't stand this kid.' So it works! I can't stand this kid! But who punches down? You don't punch down to somebody. I'm the guy that's in the Hall of Fame. I'm the guy that won two world championships at the same time.

"I'm not gonna punch down to some kid that's on YouTube that's, like, 'Fight me!' Like, why? What have you done to earn the right to fight me?

"So, no, it's silly and stupid. But I would like him to fight Tyron. I would like to see him fight somebody more real. Don't fight Ben Askren at 190, bloated.

"Fight a middleweight. Fight Luke Rockhold! Let me see you fight Luke Rockhold or somebody like that. And then I will not only say that you have base skills, I will say you're a real fighter. Because right now it's all pretend. It's all pretend."
