Gigi Hadid publically laid in to soon-to-be First Lady Melania Trump during the opening monologue of last night's American Music Awards (AMA).
The fashion model was co-hosting the AMAs alongside the former Saturday Night Live cast member, Jay Pharoah, when the spot-on impression came out. She announced that she had been working on her debut Melania impersonation 'all week'.

The model pouted the best Melania accent she could produce and said: "I love my husband, President Barack Obama and our children Sasha and Malia."
Through squinted eyes, Gigi's stunt mocked Melania's Republican National Convention speech that lifted material from a former speech given by First Lady Michelle Obama.

While her impression was arguably spot on, many believed that the dig at the future first lady was a tad cheap.

Considering the shot lifespan of a runway model these days, I think Gigi's definitely showing some potential as a look-alike model career. Who else would like her to impersonate?
