Arcade Fire Release Own Version Of Those Kendall And Kylie Jenner T-Shirts

The sisters have been mocked mercilessly for the range of t-shirts.

We all hate that person in your class who asks if they can 'borrow' your work to see how to do an assessment, then you see the only thing they've changed is the name at the top.

Well, Kendall and Kylie Jenner are pretty much the merchandise equivalent of that person.

They've created an almighty shitstorm following the release of their new t-shirts, which feature iconic artists such as Tupac, Biggie, Ozzy Osbourne, Pink Floyd and The Doors on the print, only with the Jenner sisters' faces overlapping.

Not only were people pissed off at the appropriation, but they couldn't believe their eyes when the price tag came in at $125 (£96) for a single shirt.

As Arcade Fire played the first of two London shows, one fan noticed that the Canadian indie rock group were selling t-shirts that looked very similar to the much-mocked Jenner versions.

Whether it was a deliberate middle finger to the Jenner sisters or merely a casual coincidence is yet to be determined.

The sisters have not only pulled the clothing line, but have also issued a public apology.

It reads: "These designs were not well thought out and we deeply apologize to anyone that has been upset and/or offended, especially to the families of the artists. We are huge fans of their music and it was not our intention to disrespect these cultural icons in anyway.

"The t-shirts have been pulled from retail and all images have been removed. We will use this as an opportunity to learn from these mistakes and again, we are very sorry."

Representatives of the artists featured have not stayed silent about the controversy.

Voletta Wallace, Notorious B.I.G's mum, wrote on Instagram: "I am not sure who told @kyliejenner and @kendalljenner that they had the right to do this. The disrespect of these girls to not even reach out to me or anyone connected to the estate baffles me.

"I have no idea why they feel they can exploit the deaths of 2pac and my son Christopher to sell a t-shirt. This is disrespectful, disgusting, and exploitation at its worst!!!"

Sharon Osbourne was similarly savage in her response.

And if that wasn't enough, The Doors are reportedly suing the sisters, even though the line has been pulled.

According to TMZ, lawyers for the band have issued the family a cease and desist letter because they argue it tarnishes the band's trademark.
