This is the moment Nicki Minaj's 11-month-old son unexpectedly said his first word:

The 38-year-old was filming a video of her family and clearly wasn't ready for him to speak back to her.

Cooing, as many parents quite often do, Minaj spoke to the little'un - who is nicknamed 'Papa Bear'. She said: "Papa, say me and mommy laughed at that. Booboo, what you doing? Say hi!"

The 11-month-old baby, who will turn the big number one in September, then replied to his mama bear and simply said: "Hi!"

Minaj was shocked by her son's first word.

Clearly in shock, Minaj - whose real name is Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty - raised her hand to her mouth in amazement after the youngster greeted her.

She went on to push her luck and tried to urge the child to say more words such as 'I know I'm a cute boy' but he wasn't having any of it.

Commenting on the clip, one person wrote: "omgggggggg my ovaries I want a boy now thanks a lot sis lol."

Young Money added: "He said hi for the gram," while another commented: "LMAOO YOUR FACE AFTER HE SAID HEIII!"

Someone else said: "OMG PAPA BEAR SAID HI TO US. That just made my day 10x better."

After announcing her son's birth, Minaj waited until January before sharing any pictures of Papa Bear.

Taking to Instagram, she wrote: "#PapaBear thank you so very much for choosing me to be your mama. Wishing you guys a happy & prosperous New Year. Thank you for your love & support throughout this journey. It's meant so much to me.

"Becoming a mom is by far the most fulfilling job I've ever taken on. Sending love to all the superhero mothers out there. Big hugs to all the women who have been pregnant during this challenging time."

Minaj appeared on the video with her ex-con husband and manager, Kenneth 'Zoo' Petty, who is a registered sex offender in California and New York.

Petty, 43, was arrested in 1994 on suspicion of rape and later pleaded guilty to attempted rape and served four-and-a-half years in prison.

More recently, Minaj and Petty were sued by the woman he was convicted of attempting to rape after allegedly harassing her to recant her story.

The victim has filed a lawsuit alleging chart-topping rapper Minaj and Petty have been harassing and intimidating her to force her to recant her story.
