Olly Murs heaped praise on girlfriend Amelia Tank after she won a bodybuilding competition - saying he'd treat her to McDonald's on the way to home. Watch him celebrate her win as it happened on his Instagram stories below (the video contains some strong language).

Murs, 37, posted a celebratory snap on Instagram to congratulate Tank after she was crowned overall UK champion at the Pure Elite Pro bikini competition in Margate yesterday (26 June).

Along with the photo, in which he posed alongside Tank and her trophy with his arms in the air, Murs wrote: "And still.... undefeated-champ. 6 months work, show postponed, lockdown to deal with and she went and bloody did it! Lost for words! Proud of ya darlin."

He added: "Now let's eat a McDonalds on the way home to celebrate... my treat."

Murs, who has been in a relationship with Tank since 2019, also documented the competition throughout the day, sharing updates on his Instagram Stories.

He said: "I'm here supporting my girl. Just here at Pure Elite bikini competition. I'm so nervous.

"She has dedicated six months to this, put in some incredible work. So I'm super proud of her whatever happens."

He jokingly added: "But you've got to win!"

Murs filmed Tank as she took to the stage, and could be heard cheering her on as she won the first round.

As the Pro Bikini Champion was announced, Murs could be heard saying to himself: "Please, please, please, please..."

After she won that round as well, Murs said: "Right, so Amelia's won both the categories - we are so happy! But it's now time for the overall [winner]."

Saying he was 's***ing it', the singer continued: "She's never, ever won this one. Oh my God."

After Tank's name was called out, Murs cheered and screamed as she collected her trophy, saying: "So proud."

Last October, Murs revealed he and Tank moved in together during lockdown.

He also admitted he worried his relationship may come under strain when he headed out on tour after the pandemic, saying he'd be hitting the road in 2021.

Murs told The Sun: "Amelia says she can't wait for me to go out to work.

"But it'll be a shock for us from a relationship perspective because she's only known me to be at home, really, all the time.

"If I'm going back on the road, getting back to work, TV work and stuff, it's going to be crazy again and I don't know what that will be like for us."
