Do you ever wonder what Pamela Anderson is up to these days? Would it surprise you if I said that she's taken up a career in pornography? She hasn't, but would it surprise you? Probably not.
Would it surprise you if I told you that she's actually written an article, alongside rabbi Shmuley Boteach, for the Wall Street Journal announcing the dangers of porn? Because she has.
'Porn is for losers', it's for people who are 'too lazy to reap the rewards of healthy sexuality', Pammy writes, before asking readers to 'take the pledge: no more indulging in porn'.
The pair reckon that watching too much porn is a public hazard and that it affects men's ability to be a good husband or father. The article then goes on to compare porn addiction to drug addiction; claiming that porn's easy accessibility is what makes it so dangerous.
I mean, perhaps Pammy has a good reason to dislike the porn industry, she was one of the original stars to have a sex tape illegally leaked. But then she also appeared on 15 covers of Playboy, which, while not hard-core, still isn't something the good rabbi would approve of, surely?
The article seems to be mainly focussing on males watching porn, using New York's former mayor Anthony Weiner, who was recently caught out in a sexting scandal, as proof of the dangers of the 'addictive dangers' of porn.
In fact, it goes on to talk about how porn is less damaging for women, because they view 'less explicit' material, the Independent reports. Which, seems a little bit like sexism to me.
If you think porn is taking over your life, then there are places that can help. But if you just like watching the odd PornHub video then crack on, I say.
