People Couldn't Believe This Was Really Miley Cyrus' Mum

When successful people come from an already famous family, it's easy to think that beauty or talent might be in the genes. From the looks of it, that's definitely true for mega pop star Miley Cyrus.

When the pop singer and actress took to Twitter to post a picture of her 50-year-old mum Tish, it was easy to see where she'd got her own good looks from.

The picture showed Miley's mum in a black one-piece suit, looking the spitting image of her daughter, and Miley's fans on social media were absolutely stunned by how good Tish looked.

"My mother! OMG! @tishcyrus is everything," Miley typed in her caption to the photo. "50 and smokin."

People responded in their droves to comment on the photo - that's Twitter for you - gushing with praise for Tish's appearance and even suggesting she looked young enough to be Miley's sister.

"OMG she could be your sis," one person tweeted, while a second fan added: "Beauty runs deep in your family."

Meanwhile a third was on hand to comment: "How is she 50 wtffff she could pass for at least 35."

We have to admit - she does look pretty damn good for someone who's just entering their sixth decade. Fair play.

Unlike most parents of people who are famous, Tish Cyrus is a celebrity in her own right, regularly producing films starring her daughter, formerly the star of the Disney Channel's Hannah Montana.

Just last year, the 50-year-old appeared on US TV presenting her own interior design show with Miley's older half-sister Brandi, Cyrus vs. Cyrus: Design and Conquer.

As popular as Tish Cyrus seems to be with the masses in the US, rest assured that she's by no means looking to steal her daughter's thunder.

Miley went on to grace the awards ceremony at New York's Madison Square Garden by joining music legend Sir Elton John on stage to perform a duet of his classic hit 'Tiny Dancer'.

The performance went down a hit with the crowd, who rewarded the pair with a standing ovation. No doubt it would have been a proud moment for Tish to see her daughter side-by-side with a true musical great.
