'Two birds with one stone' - makes sense to me

Post Malone has explained the sound reasoning behind why he opted to get a new tattoo while on a recent trip to the dentist, saying it was a way of killing two birds with one stone.

Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Post, real name Austin Richard Post, was questioned about a social media update from August which showed him getting some new ink while his dentist looked on.

The 25-year-old explained: "Two birds with one stone. Why not?"

He added: "I mean, you know we talked about it and we were just like, you know, I'll be sitting around for hours doing nothing anyways.

"You know, why not get two bad things out of the way at the same time?"

Makes sense to me.

Post is certainly no stranger to tattoos; in fact, it seems like every time he shares a new photo of himself there's even more ink.

In a post in June, he showed off his new shorter haircut alongside a massive skull tattooed onto his head.

Alongside the photo he wrote: "I have cut my hair even shorter, also skeletons are cool.

"Spread your heart as much as you can. A little love goes farther than you think.

"Stay strong and keep kicking ass. Love, Austin."

He followed that update with another in July, which gave fans a glimpse of even more of his new etchings - including a skull, spider and a succubus.

Those tattoos already had plenty of company on his face, where there's also a sword, a Playboy bunny logo, some barbed wire and the words 'stay away' and 'always tired'.

Speaking to GQ earlier this year, he revealed that his self-confidence, or lack of, might be the reason why he's ended up getting so many tattoos.

He told the publication: 'I'm an ugly-ass mother f***er. It does maybe come from a place of insecurity, to where I don't like how I look, so I'm going to put something cool on there so I can look at myself and say, 'You look cool, kid,' and have a modicum of self-confidence, when it comes to my appearance."

While he previously joked to Tim Westwood: "I got a face for radio anyways, so why not?"

Ah, mate, do you need a hug?
