Rebel Wilson said it's been 'interesting' to see how differently people treat her since losing weight.

The 41-year-old Pitch Perfect star underwent a dramatic transformation after announcing 2020 to be her 'Year of Health'.

Wilson adopted a new healthy regime, including cutting back on sugar and working out with a personal trainer as well as focussing on the 'mental side' of her health.

As a result, she's shed a reported 70lbs (31kg) and says she feels fitter than ever.

Speaking on The Morning Crew with Hughesy, Ed and Erin back in January, Wilson said she'd always felt confident in her own skin, but had noticed a big change in how other people treated her after she lost weight.

She said: "I like to think I looked good at all sizes and stuff and I've always been quite confident. So it wasn't like I wasn't confident and then now I'm, like, super confident.

"I think what's been really interesting to me is how other people treat you.

"Sometimes being bigger, people didn't necessarily look twice at you, and now that I'm in a good shape, like, people offer to carry my groceries to the car and hold doors open for you.

"I was like, 'Is this what other people experienced all the time?'"

Wilson has said her weight loss journey wasn't set around hitting a 'certain number', stressing she wanted the 'health benefits' of getting fitter.

Speaking to The Sun in June last year, Rebel said: "I turned 40 as well in March and so I thought, 'This is gonna be it. This is going to be the year for me to just concentrate on the health benefits.'

"It's not like I want to lose weight and get to around a certain number. It's more than that, it's about dealing mentally with why I was overeating and I had a job where I was paid a lot of money to be bigger, at times, which kind of can mess with your head a bit.

"So now I'm just trying to work on the mental side and the physical job and doing a lot of personal training.

"On the nutrition side... it's cool, I should probably write a book at some point about it because people seem to be interested."

Earlier this week, Wilson shared an inspirational message with her fans telling them it's 'never too late to improve' themselves.

The Aussie actor shared a snap of herself wearing a plunging red swimsuit while posing on a beach - alongside the photos she wrote: "It's never too late to improve yourself - to improve your health, your heart, your happiness, your harmony.

"For everyone out there just trying to be a lil bit better this week: go for it! Every bit counts. Every effort is worth it. You're worth it."
