Rebel Wilson has shared an inspirational message with her fans, telling them it's 'never too late to improve' themselves.

The Aussie actor shared a snap of herself wearing a plunging red swimsuit while posing on a beach - alongside the photos she wrote: "It's never too late to improve yourself - to improve your health, your heart, your happiness, your harmony.

"For everyone out there just trying to be a lil bit better this week: go for it! Every bit counts. Every effort is worth it. You're worth it."

Wilson, 41, has revealed last year that she was embarking on a 'year of health' during which she took a look at her lifestyle and set herself a 'goal' weight.

Posting a photo of herself in a tight fitting blue dress in August 2020, she wrote: "Thanks for all the love so far on my 'Year of Health' journey - when I was reaching for the candies last night after dinner, I thought to myself, 'hmmmm... better not' and had a bottle of water instead x 8kgs to go until I hit my goal - hopefully I can do it by the end of the year x".

As well as slimming down, Wilson said she had been working with a personal trainer to get fitter and was also focussing on the 'mental side'.

Speaking to The Sun in June last year, Rebel said: "I turned 40 as well in March and so I thought, 'This is gonna be it. This is going to be the year for me to just concentrate on the health benefits.'

"It's not like I want to lose weight and get to around a certain number. It's more than that, it's about dealing mentally with why I was overeating and I had a job where I was paid a lot of money to be bigger, at times, which kind of can mess with your head a bit.

"So now I'm just trying to work on the mental side and the physical job and doing a lot of personal training.

"On the nutrition side... it's cool, I should probably write a book at some point about it because people seem to be interested."

And it seems as though she might be on to something, her most recent Instagram post attracted plenty of attention from her fans and celebrity pals, including a message from former SAS: Who Dares Wins host Ant Middleton, who wrote: "You need to put pen to paper! Now that would be a book that would take pride of place on the shelf... DO IT!!!"

While her Pitch Perfect co-star Alexis Knapp commented: "Love you gorgeous inspirational woman."Featured Image Credit: Instagram/@rebelwilson
