Sly Stallone Weirds People Out By Tweeting About His 'Bombshell' Daughters

Sylvester Stallone is still winning roles in box-office hit movies at an impressive rate, popping up in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Animal Crackers last year. Given that he's acting for almost fifty years he has plenty to be chuffed about.

But yesterday Sly seemed pleased about something far more odd as he proudly shared a news article on Twitter, without comment, on the subject of his 'bombshell' daughters. Uh, what?

The article, published by the Daily Star, shared 'sizzling snaps' of Sly's young daughters Sophia, 21 and Sistine, 19, with both of them receiving the tabloid paper's 'Instagram Babe of the Week' title.

"The daughters of film action hero Sylvester, 71, are bonafide second generation bombshells," the text of the article reads.

"Nowadays, Sophia and Sistine are setting pulses racing with their jaw-dropping Instagram pictures."

The pair have a combined Instagram following of over 1.4 million users, and you can understand why - it's fair to say that both of them are quite photogenic.

While it's understandable for Sly to be proud of his daughters' success, it's still a bit weird for a dad to share a slightly lechy article about how attractive their kids are.

People on Twitter obviously thought the same thing as they quickly picked up on Sly Stallone's gaffe.

"You really tweeting this about your own daughters?" one user asked.

"Love your work, Sly, and normally what you stand for. However, not sure it's wise to promote your daughters with these "hot" photos and in the language used...ie "Bombshell"... "set pulses racing...."sizzling snaps"....#OverTheTop especially for an Italian American Pop..." another added.

"Congrats on the sexy ass daughter Sly! I would definitely hit that!" a third chimed in, no doubt taking the mick just a little.

Others made comparisons with similar incidents, such as US President Donald Trump's comments about his daughter Ivanka.

Speaking on ABC's "The View" in 2006, Trump unwisely spoke about the virtues of his daughter, unwisely blurting out: "If Ivanka weren't my daughter, perhaps, I would be dating her." Bit awkward.

It was no doubt innocently intended but old Sly may have misjudged this one a tad. Perhaps he should learn how to add a caption next time.
