It's looks like after weeks of going back and forth between the pair Jake Paul and Soulja Boy could actually hit the ring together.

TMZ reported they spoke to Soulja - real name DeAndre Cortez Way - where he said the fight between the two is definitely going down.

It's been reported the US rapper who found international fame with his 2007 single 'Crank That (Soulja Boy)', said: "Jake Paul can't beat me in no fight, you know that. It's really gonna happen though. It's for real."

He seems pretty confident as when he was asked what he thought of Paul's skills he said: "I'll put up the whole record label advance. Jake Paul you a bitch."

The pair have traded a fair few insults over social media lately and Paul eventually came out and told TMZ: "I'm trying to fight him. I know it will blow up, I don't like some of the stuff he's recently done, but it's more business. There's just a lot of controversy around him, and I think people would like to see him get knocked out."

The 22-year-old previously said he would put $20 million to fight the once high-flying rapper and was reported to have insinuated that Soulja doesn't have the money to put up.

He said: "Naw, I don't think he does [have $20 million]. He's always like capping."

This, obviously, wouldn't be Paul's first run around the ring as last summer during a series of display matches - some including his brother and fellow YouTuber Logan Paul - he fought the YouTuber Deji and won handily.

At the start of the month the US rapper is reported to have signed a new deal with Warner/Chapell Music - however, how much the artist is getting as an advance is not known to the public.

Soulja announced the deal on his Instagram profile saying he was 'the hottest rapper in the game'.

Back in 2018 Soulja faced a fair bit of controversy for selling 'shoddy' game consoles.

He launched the SouljaGame Handheld is selling for $99.99, and the under-the-TV model is at $149.99 - which initially seemed like a bargain, but it turned out they're systems that can be bought elsewhere online for significantly cheaper than the rapper is flogging them for.

With that in the past it looks like he's simply looking forward to what he may have in store for 2019 and so far that's looking like a showdown between Soulja and Jake Paul.
