John Boyega has faced a backlash on social media after making a joke about the sex life of Star Wars character Rey.
It all started after the 27-year-old shared a video of himself dancing on Instagram.
Someone commented on the video saying 'my boy after realising Kylo died so he can date Rey' - referencing the fact that in the latest film his character Finn was shunned by Rey (Daisy Ridley), who was instead drawn to Kylo Ren (Adam Driver).
Replying to the comment, Boyega said: "It's not about who she kisses but who eventually lays the pipe. You are a genius."
The comment didn't go down well with everyone though, with one woman describing the joke as 'disgusting'.
She said: "Bro [you're extremely] disgusting and gross also f***ing disrespectful...you cannot be this jealous of adam driver dude."
Boyega evidently wasn't too bothered by her comment though, replying: "You obviously don't know the difference between a fictional world and reality."
The Londoner also reiterated this point in a series of tweets:
Star Wars is a movie not a documentary.

Daisy knows she isn't the character. Lol so tbh she doesn't give AF.

I will say it 500000 times. Two consenting adults can lay down whatever the hell they want ya sensitive!

But while Boyega clearly stands by his comment, he did accept the blame for losing a Star Wars script that eventually ended up on eBay.
In November, director JJ Abrams revealed that one of the top secret scripts for the film was for sale on eBay after an anonymous actor left it under their bed - this actor turned out to be Boyega.
Coming clean on Good Morning America, he said: "I was moving apartments, and I left the script under my bed. I was like, 'I will leave it under my bed and when I wake up the next morning, I will take it and then move.'
"But then my boys came over and we started partying a little bit. The script, it just stayed there. And a few weeks after, this cleaner comes in, finds this script and puts it on eBay for like £65 ($83), so the person didn't know the true value.
"But I actually thought this is a great opportunity for the fans to read the movie before they see it - maybe I'm onto something, you know what I mean?"
