Stormzy has denied cheating on his ex-girlfriend Maya Jama.
The grime artist split up with the TV and radio presenter in August and speculation that he cheated on her grew after he released 'Lessons', the 15th track on his latest album Heavy is the Head.
In the reflective song, the 26-year-old admits that he 'done the dirt' and says 'you cannot imagine how I'm sorry'. If there was any doubt about who he was referring to, he even name-checks his 25-year-old former flame in the second verse.
However, in an interview with HOT 97, he insisted that he didn't cheat on Jama.
When asked about the allegations, he said: "D'you know what? It's good that you asked me this. I didn't cheat. I didn't cheat!
"It's so mad because even with the song - I made a song called 'Lessons' addressing the situation. And since the situation happened, there was a lot of, like, 'You're a cheat!'
"With the song, I kind of just stepped out and [took] full accountability. [What I actually did was] a big disrespect. It was very inconsiderate. It didn't need for it to be cheating for it to be a disrespect. But I thought now was a good time to say that I didn't cheat on my ex."
Stormzy didn't explain exactly what this 'big disrespect' was, but he went on to describe Jama as a 'phenomenal woman' and himself as an 'a***hole'.
He said: "If there was a box of what a good woman is, she ticks every one, she's amazing. But I didn't cheat on her. I actually didn't cheat.
"Don't get it twisted, I'm still definitely an a***hole. A 100 percent, that's a fact. I'm an a***hole. But I thought now was a good time to say that I didn't cheat on my ex."
He also denied rumours of a fling with singer Jorja Smith.
He said: "No, no, no, we're not a thing. That's a rumour."
