Rapper Riff Raff has shared a throwback clip of Post Malone, minus his distinctive face tattoos face tattoos.

Malone's heavily inked visage is almost as well-known as his music, so the vintage clip was a bit of an eye-opener for fans.

Riff Raff shared the clip, which dates back to 2016, on his Instagram account with the caption: "Staying at home got me finding videos of Post Malone on my old Bat Phone."

In the clip, Malone is wearing a gold-coloured grill and is sporting a number of gold chains but looks noticeably different to how we're used to seeing him thanks to the lack of tattoos.

The 24-year-old, whose real name is Austin Richard Post, recently revealed that he got his face tattooed because he feels unattractive - or is 'an ugly mother f*****' as he put it.

Speaking GQ, he said: "I'm an ugly-ass mother f*****. It does maybe come from a place of insecurity, to where I don't like how I look, so I'm going to put something cool on there so I can look at myself and say, 'You look cool, kid', and have a modicum of self-confidence, when it comes to my appearance."

Malone has a number of facial tattoos, including the words 'always tired' and 'stay away', he's also got barb wire and, more recently, got a circular saw etched on his cheek and a gauntlet holding a weapon on the other... each to their own, I guess.

When asked by Tim Westwood why he had chosen 'always tired' specifically, he replied: "I tried to do something that's relatively the same length of letters.

"I guess 'always' is more letters than 'tired', but I was tired, so I didn't realise."

In the same interview he explained: "It's alright, I got a face for radio anyways, so I figured, why not? Anything to p*** my mom off."

Last year, a Photoshop expert retouched an image of Malone, removing his tattoos and giving him a neat short back and sides.

YouTuber Mitchell Wiggs shared a clip in which he gave Malone a make-under, removing his tattoos and smoothing his hair. Quite the transformation.
