Tommy Fury has revealed he had to take an Uber from Las Vegas to LA after watching his brother Tyson beat Deontay Wilder at the weekend - a casual trip of nearly 300 miles that, according to Google Maps, may have taken around five hours.

The 22-year-old had been over in the States to watch his brother's trilogy fight against Wilder, which Tyson ended up winning by knockout in the 11th round.

But it seems the younger Fury brother was unable to simply hop on a flight home to girlfriend Molly Mae Hague, as tickets had all been snapped up.

With rental cars all apparently 'hired', he felt he had no choice but to grab an Uber - all the way to LA in California.

He dumped a load of videos and photos from the weekend on Instagram, writing: "Some bits I didn't post."

This included a Boomerang he'd taken from inside a taxi, telling fans: "Little update - had to get an Uber from Las Vegas to LAX because all the flights were full and all the car rentals were hired so silly me. Always plan in advance, guys.

"Then flying from Los Angeles to London. Can't wait to see my girl @MollyMae miss you so much."

According to the Mirror, an estimate for the journey's cost came to $309.40, although it may have cost even more depending on which car Fury chose to travel in, or if there was a surge due to the higher demand at the time that he travelled.

Meanwhile, as Tommy was scrambling around in taxis, his boxer brother Tyson revelled in his victory - having knocked Wilder to the ground in the 11th round, meaning he has now won two of their three fights.

Branding his opponent an 'idiot' after refusing to congratulate him, following the fight, he said: "He's got no love for me Deontay Wilder, because I've beat him three times. I'm a sportsman, I went over to him to show some love and respect and he didn't want to give it back. That's his problem, I'll pray for him so God will soften his heart.

"I want to thank everyone in the building tonight who came out to show support for my sport, boxing. Thank you. It was a great fight, October 9th 2021 will go down as a great fight in history. I hope anyway.

"Like the great John Wayne said 'I'm made of pig iron and steel baby.' First of all I'd like to say thank you to my Lord and saviour Jesus Christ, in the name of Jesus I won this fight tonight. I give him the glory he gives me the victory.

"I was down a couple of times, I was hurt. Wilder is a strong puncher and he's a tough man. I was hitting him with some tough shots.

"It was a great fight tonight, worthy of any trilogy in the history of our sport. I'm not going to make any excuses, Wilder is a tough fighter who gave me a real run for my money tonight. I always said 'I'm the best in the world and he's the second best.'"
