I think it's safe to say that there are few among us who can scroll back in time through our social media accounts without experiencing something between a little and enormous embarrassment.
As such, it would be quite mortifying to have our posts from yesteryear dug out and plastered all over the internet - but that's exactly what one Twitter user has done to Tommy Fury.
Based off some of his old statuses, it seems the 20-year-old boxer - who is currently a contestant on Love Island - seems to have always been a bit of a romantic.
Back in 2012 he posted a number of statuses from his BlackBerry expressing misspelled soppy sentiments.

In one post, he declared his utmost love for someone called Megan.
He said: "I dedicate my rugby match to you megan i love you with all my hartttttt xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
Three months earlier he went all Bruno Mars for Megan.
He wrote: "Megan I would catch a granade for you."
Sadly though it obviously didn't work out for him and Megan, as he is now on Love Island - the show which members of the public allegedly go on in the pursuit of love.

If you're not abreast of what is going on in the show, Tyson Fury's little bro has been causing a fair bit of drama, coupling up with Molly-Mae Hague before having his head turned by newcomer Maura Higgins.
The fighter made his feelings for the 28-year-old ring girl very clear in last night's (Thursday's) episode, telling her: "I'll be honest with you. When I saw you and went on a date with you, my head did a 560 degree turn."
What exactly a '560 degree turn' represents in terms of attraction isn't exactly clear, but judging from his general behaviour it seems he likes her. In future he may want use some more coherent romantic lines, such as offering to symbolically catch 'granades' for women.
Incomprehensible or not, Maura seems keen on big Tommy.

She said: "Yes, they're in a couple, and I don't want to step on anyone's toes. But if he wants me, what am I going to do?"
What will Maura do? That is the big question.
I for one hope she couples up with Tommy and they go all the way and win the show... Allowing this article to drop to the seabed of the internet and out of Tommy's sight.
