Wayne Lineker has said he thinks some people probably reckon he's 'an absolute idiot' after he shared a list of 'requirements' for a new girlfriend.
The 58-year-old was hit with a backlash last year after he shared the lengthy criteria needed to become his other half, including that they be 'intelligent but not boring', a 'worldie' and 'be prepared to give up [their] career'.
Lineker insists the list was just meant as a bit of joke, but appreciates that not everyone will have seen the funny side.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Lineker said: "I think some people think I'm an absolute idiot.

"But a lot of girls like me."
And Lineker hasn't given up on his quest for love - in fact he's even signed up for the latest series of E4's Celebs Go Dating alongside fellow stars including Chloe Ferry and Curtis Pritchard.
Talking about his upcoming appearance, Lineker said: "After being single for over two years, I am so ready to meet somebody I can hopefully spark a romance with.
"I've heard great things about the agency, and that Anna, Paul and Tom give sound advice.

"I'm excited to see the potential dates that the agents bring to the table, and hopefully learn a few things about myself along the way."
And it seems as though Lineker has already hit it off with someone, but unfortunately for him it's fellow contestant Chloe.

Lineker shared a snap of the two of them stood side by side with his arm around her waist, captioning it: "Shame I'm not allowed to date the celebs."
But if Lineker does meet the love of his life on the show, he's revealed he will be taking things slow.
He told the Daily Star: "To have sex with someone I have to have feelings for them.
"I can't just jump into bed with someone I don't know. I don't like it. I find it really awkward, especially afterwards, so I don't do it."
