YouTuber Jeffree Star Hospitalised After 'Severe Car Accident'

YouTuber Jeffree Star and his friend Daniel Lucas are in hospital after being injured in a 'severe car accident', a post on the star's Twitter account has confirmed.

Earlier today, the duo had been in a car when it hit black ice, and 'flipped three times'.

A photo posted on Twitter shows 35-year-old Star lying in a hospital bed wearing a neck brace, with Lucas by his side holding his hand.

The tweet said: "A few hours ago Jeffree and Daniel were in a severe car accident and the car flipped 3 times after hitting black ice.

"We will update you all when the doctor gives us more info. So thankful they are both alive."

Many fans have wished Star and Lucas a speedy recovery, with one tweeting: "Omg!!! This is so so horrible and I'm so sorry. I really hope you're both okay. Praying for you guys and sending all my love."

Someone else said: "That's the scariest part about cold weather and rain/sleet, you never see the black ice before it's too late. Good to know you guys are okay."

A third wrote: "Horrible, wishing all involved health and a speedy recovery."

Another added: "Omg. Praying for a quick and safe recovery. Will definitely be keeping both of you in my thoughts today."

According to K2 Radio, Star and Lucas crashed near Casper, Wyoming, and are now reportedly being treated at Wyoming Medical Center.

Speaking to Oil City News, Wyoming Highway Patrol Sergeant Jeremy Beck confirmed that Star and another individual had been involved in the rollover crash on Natrona County's Hat Six Road.

Beck said initial reports showed that a vehicle Star was travelling in hit a patch of slush, before sliding and rolling.

Star had previously announced on social media that he had opened a fulfilment centre in the area, and that he would be recruiting local employees.

In a recent video, he said: "So I am employing all local people from Casper, Wyoming, here in this beautiful town, and we do have a lot of new businesses opening... Slow and steady wins the race."
