Ed Sheeran has revealed he once performed at Gordon Ramsay’s daughter’s birthday party in exchange for free cooking lessons, having learnt to make a couple of classic dishes with wife Cherry.
Sheeran, 30, treated Tilly Ramsay to a five-song set at her James Bond-themed 18th birthday party back in November 2019.
But rather than asking the Ramsays for a wad of cash, the singer offered to do a trade with the Michelin-starred chef.

The Sun reports that Sheeran spoke about the occasion on a US radio show, where he explained: “I don’t like people saying, ‘Hey here is a chunk of money, come and play two songs at this,’ whether it be a wedding or whatever.
“What happened was he emailed me and said, ‘What would the fee be?’
“And I said, ‘You know what? Why I don’t trade your skill for my skill.

“You come around and give me a cooking lesson and I’ll play your daughter’s 18th.’”
Sheeran added: “He came around and taught me and my wife how to cook beef wellington and apple tarte tatin.
“It was a posh apple pie and it was really nice.”
Besides, it’s not like Sheeran really needs the cash, as he recently topped Heat magazine’s Rich List of Brits aged 30 and under for a third year running.
