Elderly Couple At Basketball Game Seem Unaware They're Next To Drake

The rapper took a selfie with the couple and posted it to his Instagram story afterwards

By now Drake is probably used to having all the attention when he goes watching basketball games, well aware that everyone who is everyone knows who he is.

That was until last night (1 December) when the Canadian rapper went to watch the OKC Thunder vs Houston Rockets and found himself sat beside an elderly couple who didn't seem to have a clue who he was.

The 35-year-old musician was sitting at the front of the Paycom Center with long-time friend Mark Robinson when a camera started to hone in on him.

Almost pretending not to see the camera at first, the 'God's Plan' singer looked over as fans began screaming which was when the white-haired gent beside him started to take notice.

Looking up at what we're assuming is the camera screens, to show who or what is being filmed, the older man looks towards Drake and seems to be confused.

He certainly says something to make the rapper laugh and give them all of his attention, even pretending at one point that the camera was looking for his new pal.

According to other outlets, the man seems to have asked Drake whether he's someone of importance.

Clearly loving whatever conversation he's having with the couple, they carried on having heartwarming interactions with Drake leaning in to the man and tapping him on his arm at one point.

In fact, he seems to have enjoyed himself so much that he snapped a selfie with the couple and posted it on to Instagram alongside the caption: "My new parents".

Commenting on the adorable moment, one person wrote: "Honestly, my parents wouldn’t recognize him either. If a singer is younger than 50, they won’t know who the singer is!"

Others defended the couple after people questioned how they didn't know who Drake was, taking to Twitter, someone said: "For those of you saying things like ‘living under a rock’, be nice, they’re elders!

"Situations like these truly show celebrities that people can still be genuine. They clearly liked him as a person not knowing his celebrity status. That alone is beautiful! Way better than fans!"
