Was Joey From 'Friends' The Inspiration Behind This Balenciaga Coat?

"Could you BE wearing any more clothes?" Is something you'd undoubtedly hear all the time if you bought this Balenciaga coat for a measly £6,095 ($7,930).

The jacket is part of the designer's ski-themed AW18 runway collection and is intended to be worn in 'cold-weather climes' - we're not sure where else you could possibly think of wearing it but, yeah, in the snow, guys.

And of course, everyone has made exactly the same joke as to what could possible be the inspiration behind it.

Yes, it's none other than Friends' own Joey Tribianni, lovably dopey sitcom character and (apparently) pioneering fashion icon:

"Joey was ahead of the game," wrote one person on Twitter, while another added: "Don't do any lunges...."

According to MATCHESFASHION.COM, the coat comprises of a combination of plaid shirts, jersey hoodies and technical fleeces, featuring cuffed sleeves, two front patch pockets, a drawstring hood and a coordinating hem.

There is literally something for everyone and everything.

And, let's face it, there're a few colours to match with - navy, cream, red, black, checked. But just think how God damn heavy it must be.

You'd get a sweat on just walking out of your ski chalet.

If we haven't put you off buying it yet, the good news is that it's not in stock just yet so you've got no choice but to keep saving up those pennies.

And with a price tag of more than £6,000, you'll be saving for a while. But we've got an idea for you to ditch the dream coat and dabble in a bit of DIY.

No one would notice (or judge) if you just grabbed everything in the wardrobe and chucked it all on. Joey Tribbiani did it and so can you - maybe just put some kecks on before you start lunging.

If you're still adamant on having this monstrosity, take a look at the pre-order on MATCHESFASHION.COM.

Alternatively, we found this t-shirt-come-shirt-come-what-the-fuck a while ago which might be more to your liking.

It's from Balenciaga (shock) and is essentially two perfectly acceptable items of clothing sewn together to make a weird hybrid.

Oh and it'll set you back £935 ($1,200). The good part - both garments have sleeves, y'know, in case you've got four arms.

Or in case you want to wear a t-shirt (with a shirt stitched to the front) through the day and a shirt (with a t-shirt attached to the back) by night.

Probably best to stick with the shirt and throw on a jacket to cover your little mate hitching a ride.

We were hoping for a four-legged trouser-come-jeans combo next but looks like we got the layered coat instead.

Thanks, you guys. Keep up the good work. Well, keep up the work, anyway.
