TV proposals are always awkward as fuck. No-one ever seems to expect or want one.
Blokes really don't. They hate the idea of being proposed to by their girlfriend because they feel it undermines them. It makes them feel a bit lazy and useless.
A bloke on This Morning today was no different.

Mark, who works in a butchers, made himself a contender for the most awkward proposal ever when his girlfriend, Helen, surprised him at work with a camera crew.
As Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield sat watching from the ITV studio, Helen joked to Mark that she'd just come in to buy some sausages before citing her actual intentions.
"I want to ask you a serious question," she said. "I've come to ask, will you marry me?"

Ideally, Mark should have become overjoyed and blurted out an immediate "Yes!" but instead he replied: "Well I'll have to think about that, won't I?"
It all got a bit awkward but then, after an uncomfortable pause, he said: "Of course I will."
Bloody 'ell Mark, mate.
