Whoopsie!

A lot of us tuned in to watch Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway over the weekend. In fact, there was an average of 7.4 million viewers - peaking at 8.7 million, which is a 600,000 rise from last year.

That's a shitload of people who were potentially offended when a girl was caught swearing live on ITV1.

The girl in question was seen mouthing "fuck off" during a competition segment of the TV show which was giving away a holiday to Disney World in Florida.

Now, TV watchdog Ofcom may be forced to investigate if there's enough complaints.

At the time, Ant and Dec said their apologies for the language. Dec said: "I have to say we're very sorry if somebody got a bit excited and said something they shouldn't have.

"We're very sorry."

It came alongside this this piece of magic in Dec muddling up his words and Stephen Mulhern's bumbled entrance...

So what about Stephen's entrance. The magician and presenter was meant to be shot out of a cannon...

Only the cannon didn't fire.

Anthony McPartlin added: "It was fine in rehearsal!"

And Stephen later joked: "I've sacked the camera man!"

Then things went from bad to worse for Ant and Dec, as the latter failed to get his words out while talking about the £1 million cash prize one audience member could win.

He kept trying to say: "You could win a whopping 1 million pounds!"

But he just couldn't say "whopping", leaving Ant in hysterics.

Dec joked: "We'll just cut this bit out!"

It got even more awkward when Scarlett Moffatt made her presenting debut and ran round random streets trying to find someone to come into the studio.

Ant and Dec had told the viewers to stand at their windows waving if they wanted to join the show. Scarlett landed in a helicopter on a random street and couldn't find anyone in their windows. Luckily, she improvised and knocked on the door of a house with its lights on and the couple inside just so happened to be watching the show.

Once the man opened the door, Scarlett shouted: "Can you come to Saturday Night Takeaway?!" to which he nodded.

She added: "Well go put your shoes on, you can't come in your slippers!"

All's fair in love, war and live telly, I suppose.
