The Marvel Cinematic Universe is so powerful and wide-reaching, it doesn't even need to try anymore to get its fans hyped.

Case in point: Marvelheads have been losing their shit this week over speculation about the release of a trailer. Not the film, the teaser.

Yes, proving to be the thirstiest fandom in the universe, people are delighted over a recent report from the folks over at Screen Geek which states sources told them that this coming week will see the release of the Avengers 4 trailer AND the Captain Marvel trailer. Woah!

Answering the question that's evidently on every MCU fan's lips right now, the 'geek related' news site says: "A reliable source has informed us that the first Avengers 4 trailer is currently scheduled for release on Monday Night - and that a new Captain Marvel trailer is likely coming Wednesday morning on Good Morning America."

A 'reliable source', eh? We've been burned by this sort of thing before, but ok. Tell us more.

The story goes on to suggest that it's 'very likely' the Avengers 4 trailer will make an appearance on ESPN's NFL show Monday Night Football, 'as Disney owns ESPN'. Still sounds like a stretch, but ok, we're excited!

Screen Geek did offer a caveat, though, saying: "It should be pointed out that this could change, but the current plan is for the trailers to be released this week."

One of the reasons the Avengers 4 trailer is such a big deal is because it'll reveal the title of the film, a detail which has long been the subject of speculation, ever since the movie was announced.

Now before you get too excited, let us just warn you that a similar announcement was made claiming the trailer would be out last Wednesday. And obviously that didn't happen.

But with the films' release dates looming (8 March for Captain Marvel and 26 April for Avengers 4), it's gotta be any week now. Plus, a couple of tweets made after a question and answer session with the Russo brothers last week suggested that 'it's about to get crazy' for the MCU fandom.

The man who was behind the title 'leak', MCU Cosmic founder Jeremy Conrad, recently tweeted the upcoming film would be called Avengers: Annihilation and he seemed to be in the know about the next installment in the MCU:

Meanwhile, The Cosmic Wonder suggested we'd be getting something pretty damn soon:

So yeah, don't get your hopes up just yet, but things might just be looking promising this week if you're an MCU fan.
