Weighing in just shy of a combined 700lbs, Hafthor Julius Bjornsson, who is better known as 'The Mountain' in Game of Thrones, and Rich Piana, who is the world's largest bodybuilder, have come together in the gym sessions of all gym sessions.

In the middle of his training for the World's Strongest Man - and in between pulling trucks and casually deadlifting 450kg - Bjornsson found time to fly out to the States to meet Piana for the muscle off in Gold's Gym in Dallas, Texas.

Piana, who no longer trains excessively because of suffering from the punishment on his joints, regularly trains with low weights and high reps for muscle growth.

"Just as I thought I was big, I pull up to the bigger man." he said after stepping out of a blue Maserati with Bjornsson . "So now I feel like a little kid." - and we feel like toddlers.

The pair wasted no time in getting down to business and first up was the tricep pushdowns. Red-faced Piana completed his painful set and Bjornsson upped the ante adding more weight, proving that there isn't much that this man can't lift.

In between sets, Bjornsson told Piana about his childhood and the moment his weight suddenly spiked before he started training.

"When I was younger, I was lean," the Icelandic beast said. "But then when I got older, I became fat."

The two then headed over to tricep extensions. Piana's 15 reps in just a matter of seconds was then followed by Bjornsson, who, can you believe it, broke a sweat? Four sets later - and after releasing some questionable noises - they moved on.

In the free weights area, both destroyed the bicep hammer curls. Piana lifted alternative reps. "Don't let me slow you down," he said as Bjornsson picked up his set of weights before admitting that he didn't need to do much specific forearm work as holding heavy weights on events, such as the farmer's walk, was enough to keep his forearms strong.

To end the session, they headed over to the machines for preacher curls, isolating the biceps. Ending like every session should, on the topic of nutrition, Piana announced that he didn't eat carbs.

"It's not that difficult," he added. "Every night we will have two double bacon cheeseburgers but we will wrap them in lettuce instead of bread." - so, the secret to monster-like arms is cheeseburgers!

I don't know about you, but I'm getting the hint that it could be time for me and my tiny body to sign up to the gym. I know what I'm doing tonight.
