This summer, Woody, Buzz and the rest of the gang will return to the big screen. However, some fans feared Bo Peep wouldn't be joining them, after she didn't feature in a trailer for the film released in November.

But Bo Peep super fans (should they exist) can breathe a huge sigh of relief, as a teaser trailer released on Monday revealed 'Bo Peep is back' in the fourth film.

Not only is she back - she has a whole new look too.

You may recall that in the previous films she wore a large pink and white puffball dress and curved brimmed pink hat. But this trademark outfit is gone and has been replaced by a light blue jumpsuit, finished off with a pink hair bow.

The change of outfit isn't just a superficial thing though - Bo Peep's character has had a makeover for Toy Story 4 too, and she is now described as an 'adventure-seeking free spirit'.

According to Comic Book, director Josh Cooley, said: "Bo's taken control of her own destiny. While Woody was watching Andy grow up, Bo gathered dust until she took it upon herself to head out into the world. And when Woody shows up, they can't believe that they've found each other again."

But while her character may have evolved, she will still be voiced by Annie Potts, who said Bo is 'inspiring'.

She said: "She is modern, independent, capable and confident. Bo is written and conceived to be inspiring as she has weathered life's ups and downs with grace. I aspire to that."

The first trailer showed Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Mr and Mrs Potato Head, Rex, Hamm, Space Alien and Slinky Dog floating through the air, hand in hand. So if you are a super fan of any of those characters, don't worry, looks like they're going to be in it too.

As far as the plot is concerned, it looks like we're going to see a continuation of the emotional theme we saw in the third film.

Speaking to The Talk, Tim Allen (the voice of Buzz Lightyear) said: "It is so emotional, it's so funny, it's so big, the idea they've come up with, I'm startled.

"I couldn't even get through the last scene. I would love to be a Washington leaker."

But when pressed for further details he refused to 'leak', adding: "I just can't do it. I can't give any more away.

"They've got great characters but a couple of scenes toward the end were really hard to get through."

The film is due to be released in the UK on 21 June.
