Britain's Got Talent Daredevil Accused Of Wearing Safety Wire For Final Death-Defying Stunt

Britain's Got Talent Daredevil Accused Of Wearing Safety Wire For Final Death-Defying Stunt

Maybe he bottled it.

There's no denying that Britain's Got Talent's finalist Alex Magala has got balls.

During the competition the daredevil shocked viewers with his death defying stunts, and in the semi-final he performed a sword-swallowing act so dangerous that ITV banned him from performing it live.

Yet somehow he the managed to up the ante further for last night's live final, performing a slide down a pole that saw his head landing just millimetres away from a running chainsaw. Shit son, don't try that at home.

There's just one problem.

Some eagled-eyed viewers are claiming that they spotted the 26-year-old using a safety wire when he performed the stunt, meaning it was all a lot less dangerous than it looked.

Watch the video to judge for yourself...

To be fair on the lad if I was sliding down a pole towards a chainsaw I'd probably want a safety wire too.

That didn't stop people going to town on him on social media though...

Then there was this guy who felt the need to bring Tom Cruise into it for some reason...

The evidence is pretty irrefutable, come on Alex fess up.

The competition was eventually won by army bandsman and magician Richard Jones, so I guess it doesn't matter that much anyway.

You can watch Richard's competition-winning patriotic card trick here...

Alex is yet to respond to the accusations he used a safety wire, so we can't be sure yet if he bottled it or whether it was something he was forced into.

Either way I think he should perform something even more messed-up next time as an apology.

Edit: Alex got in contact with us and turns out he's a massive fan of The LAD Bible and wanted to set the record straight.

He said: "The video you're watching is from a rehearsal that was made on the same day as the live show.

"But there's no wire attached me, the wire you can see is from three wires that are attached from the pole to the floor so it will stand-up vertically. Everything I do is legit."

Fair play then, don't believe everything you see on Twitter!
