'Britain's Got Talent' Magician Gets Golden Buzzer Off Ant And Dec

Fair play.

Britain's Got Talent has become home to many things, but above all else it seems to be a proving ground for magicians.

Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams seemingly can't get enough of the odd card trick blowing their minds.

In fairness to the tricksters it is quite good, and a lot of effort and practise has probably gone into perfecting their craft.

Some are better than others, mind, like Matt Edwards who impressed Geordie duo Ant and Dec so much that they pressed the coveted golden buzzer, sending him straight to the live semi-finals.

The showman based his routine around tequila and salt, while injecting some Lee Evans style comedy into the act.

In short he just made a mess on the stage as he somehow created an endless stream of salt from his hand.

When he finished the judges were suitably impressed with Alesha saying: "We're so distracted by you clowning and messing about that we're not paying attention to what you're actually doing, so therefore it's even more magical.

"I really love you. I think you're charming, I think you're funny and I think you're old school with a twist which is absolutely perfect for Britain's Got Talent."

It was the presenting pair who were most impressed though, prompting them to walk on stage and press the buzzer, with Ant claiming they almost wet themselves at the performance.

"You're 34 years old and for some reason you haven't had a break yet, we just wanted to help," Dec said.

Fair enough, well done LAD.
