Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 5 Is Heading To Netflix In March

After a long time wondering if it would ever happen, the latest season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine will be heading to Netflix in March.

The streaming giant announced the good news today and the way it went about it was awesome. Netflix let a super fan, Darcy, tell the world after she spent months pestering about the release date.

It seems other fans on Twitter were just as excited because after the news dropped, messages flooded in.

One posted: "This was so sick, thank you guys so much!!"

Another said: "Thanks for the birthday present lads and ladies."

However, some people weren't as pleased saying the wait until March is far too long.

One person commented: "But that's still ages away wth!!!! just give it to us now the Americans already have it."

Another upset fan said: "You said early 2019! I can't wait that long."

This news came not long after the studio behind the sitcom announced season 6 of the show would be heading to our screens this week.

After a year of loads of ups and downs, Fox made the decision to axe the show, but fans were not happy, to say the least.

NBC saw the potential and swooped in like heroes in the night and decided to allow the show to carry on to a sixth season.

The release date was announced back in November courtesy of the Brooklyn Nine-Nine cast, with Melissa Fumero - who plays Sergeant Amy Santiago - posting an old clip from the show on Instagram to spread the news along with the caption: "Season 6 coming at ya on Thursday, January 10th!!! See ya there Nine Niners!!! #Brooklyn99."

Apparently, fans can expect all the same hilarity but with a helluva lot more swearing.

Star of the show Andy Samberg told E! News: "We've got a couple of bleeps already going, and I gotta tell you...it feels real good."
