We've only just got over the brilliance of the first Deadpool. And as we all calm down, the hysteria can begin to build again. The release date for the second film has been announced.

At the time of the rave reviews, many flashed back to the first instalment of seeing Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson. In fact, his first time out as The Merc With A Mouth was in the shower of shit that was X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The movie where they sewed up Deadpool's mouth.

The director explained eventually why they got that so wrong, saying that new film allowed the character 'to be who the character really is, unencumbered by, you know, PG-13 requirements and a great deal of marketing debate'.

Well, Deadpool, in his proper form, is returning, and the date for that will be June 1st 2018.

And the news doesn't stop there either. Upon delivering that bombshell they dropped a second saying a new X-Men film will be released on April 13, 2018 titled: X-Men: The New Mutants.

Empire are also reporting that 20th Century Fox has four more Avatar films in the pipeline as well as X-Men: Dark Phoenix.

The money-making empire that is Fox has already made near on £1bn with the films of Logan and Deadpool this year, with the latter raking in slightly more.

Avatar 2 is coming on December 18, 2020 (not long then) with the follow ups in 2021, 2024 and 2025. So, get planning your cinema dates now - they've got no excuse to drop out, you've given enough warning.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix is rumoured to be a follow up on the story set up by Apocalypse where a young Jean Grey unleashes her full psychic potential with the world-ending consequences.

Plenty of bum-grooves to be warn in cinema seats then.
