'Deadpool 2' Script Is Apparently Near Completion

And his partner Cable will be making an appearance.

This weekend it was reported that filming the sequel of Deadpool will most likely begin in early 2017. Most films are generally shot around a year before release so the film is looking like it will land any time in the latter half of 2017 or early 2018. That feels like a long wait.

There is some good news, though, as apparently the script is near completion. With the huge success of the first movie, Fox was always going to give the green light to a sequel and that's exactly what they did back in April.

In an interview with EW, producer Simon Kinberg said the Deadpool 2 script only needs some finishing touches. It's currently being penned by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the same writers as the first Deadpool flick.

Obviously, as the first movie worked so well it would only spell trouble for Fox if they were to change the formula, so it's looking like the sequel is being left in very capable hands.

As for the sequel being rushed, with the movie not going into production for nearly a year, I don't think that should be a worry. Tim Miller has also hinted that Fox isn't pressuring him on the project.

As of yet there are few details on what the film will entail, but we know Cable, his X-Man partner, will feature.
