Did 'The Simpsons' Just Predict Another Celebrity Death?

Did 'The Simpsons' Just Predict Another Celebrity Death?

This is weird.

If you're a golf fan, then you're probably already aware of the sad news that Arnold Palmer died this weekend.

Just hours after his death on Sunday afternoon, a new episode of The Simpsons aired, which mentioned Arnold Palmer.

What makes it even weirder is that Homer referenced Arnold in the past tense, even though he would have been alive at the time the show was made.

The scene shows Homer filling a water gun before turning to Marge and saying: "I'm going to fill a Super Soaker full of lemonade, Karl's going to fill one with iced tea and we're going to Arnold Palmer Lenny when he walks in!'

Marge looks less than impressed: "Arnold Palmer Lenny? You're going to Arnold Palmer Lenny?'

"'Yeah, you see, Arnold Palmer was a golfer and he made up this drink where it's not a full glass of lemonade or a full glass of iced tea," Homer says.

This isn't the first time The Simpsons has predicted the future. Past episodes have shown Trump running for president and the horse meat scandal.

Is this proof that The Simpsons are part of the Illuminati? Probably not, but it is pretty weird.
