A couple were kicked off Don't Tell The Bride after producers discovered they had been cheating all along.

Yanis and Shanise, from Birmingham, were left open-mouthed when their not so ingenious plot to skirt the rules were rumbled by the show's makers.

The premise of the show - as you probably know - is for the groom to plan everything in the hope that his bride-to-be will like it - everything from the flowers to the dress, and he has £13,000 to do it.

However, when a friend let it slip to Shanise that the couple were to tie the knot in Paris, France, producers began to get a touch suspicious.

And their suspicions were proved right when they found the bride had been trawling through her fiancé's emails to find information about the wedding.

Fairly peeved by the couple's deception, producers confronted the pair telling them that their 'secret was out' and that they had cancelled their wedding - for the first time in the show's history.

Yanis and Shanise were booted off the show after it was found they had broken the rules.

During the incredibly painful scene, groom Yanis is set to reveal the dresses for Shanise's bridesmaids, but the the atmosphere suddenly becomes a lot more frosty as the producers call the meeting to a halt.

Walking into the room, a member of the show's crew says: "Okay guys I'm going stop you there. We normally would do a bridesmaids reveal but it's come to our attention that the secret appears to be out and the bridal party know about some of the plans for the wedding."

Yanis had originally planned for the couple to get married in the French capital and have the wedding reception back in Birmingham. However, with not much left in the budget, the bride's 10-year-old brother Chris wasn't invited to the ceremony.

But later in the show, Yanis seems to have a sudden change of heart, which led to bridesmaid Melissa being kicked off the flight and told she would have to stay in Blighty. Hmmmm.

Bridesmaid Kayla let it slip that Shanise knew she was getting married in Paris.

The change led an irate Shanise to ask: "He's had £13,000 where's the money gone? Can't people pay for their own flights?"

To which Melissa replied: "Well, if they don't know where they're going."

Another bridesmaid, Kayla, then slips up, adding: "The only thing is he's booked it in Paris."

DOH!

Looking back on the embarrassing episode, the Midlands-based couple admitted it wasn't their finest moment.

Yanis said: "I try not to think about it. I'm trying to detach myself from the whole situation and what's happened. I understand what Shanise did... I don't agree with it. It wasn't the right thing to do."

Might wanna hold off on the wedding for now, guys.
